Empowered at the Table partners with Licking County families to navigate the IEP process with confidence — monitoring progress, advocating for your child's rights, and planning the path forward beyond high school.
Whether you're navigating a new IEP, tracking progress toward goals, or planning for life after high school — we're here to guide your family every step of the way.
We stand alongside your family in IEP meetings, ensuring your child's rights are protected and their voice is heard at the table.
Consistent, data-driven tracking of IEP goals so you always know how your child is progressing — and when adjustments are needed.
Helping students 14+ build a clear, personalized roadmap for life after high school — whether that's college, vocational training, or entering the workforce.
We make it easy to get started, so you can focus on your child — not the paperwork.
We start with a no-pressure conversation to understand your child's needs, goals, and current situation.
We thoroughly review existing IEPs, evaluations, and school records to identify gaps and opportunities.
Together, we create a customized advocacy and monitoring strategy tailored to your child's unique profile.
We remain by your side — attending meetings, tracking progress, and adapting the plan as your child grows.
Rooted in Licking County, Gabrielle brings classroom experience, deep knowledge of special education law, and a genuine passion for empowering the families she grew up alongside.
We understand special education law inside and out, ensuring your child receives every service and accommodation they're entitled to.
We believe parents are essential partners. We explain everything clearly and keep you informed and empowered every step of the way.
Every child is unique. Our recommendations and strategies are tailored specifically to your child's strengths, challenges, and dreams.
We look beyond the next IEP meeting — planning for who your child can become, not just what they need right now.
I'm a proud Licking County native — I grew up here, attended Southwest Licking Local Schools, and came back home to serve the community that shaped me. After high school, I went on to Ohio University where I earned a degree in K–12 Special Education with a minor in coaching. I also swam competitively for the Bobcats, eventually serving as team captain — an experience that taught me how to balance personal goals, advocate for teammates, and navigate the space between individual needs and a shared vision.
During my senior year, I student taught at Tri-County Career Technical Center, where I discovered something that would define my whole approach: students who are involved in their own goal-setting are fundamentally more motivated, more capable, and more confident in their path forward.
After graduation, I returned to Southwest Licking as a High School Intervention Specialist. Working inside the system gave me an honest, on-the-ground understanding of where it works well — and where families often get left behind. I started Empowered at the Table because every family in our community deserves to walk into an IEP meeting feeling informed, prepared, and heard.
I'm currently deepening that expertise by pursuing a Master's degree in Secondary Transition at Bowling Green State University — a program focused specifically on how to successfully support students as they exit high school and step into their adult lives, whether that means college, a career, or community independence.
When I'm not at the table, you'll find me in Harrison Township with my doodle Tawny and my soon-to-be husband, Issaac. I also serve as a swim coach at Watkins Memorial High School — still filling the swimming void in Licking County, one stroke at a time. 🏊
We're just getting started — and we couldn't be more excited to meet you.
